Our Patient Advocacy Internship is about 5-10 hours a week, for a minimum of 3 months.  You will work remotely, with flexible hours, so it won't interfere with classes or work.

Your primary role in this internship is to serve as a student moderator on our patient communities.  You will welcome new members, write medical content, and serve as a resource for patients.

Why apply to the internship?

1. Get Into Medical School
Because medical school admissions committees see so many applicants with 4.0 and 30+ MCATs, you need another way to differentiate yourself.  Nothing beats volunteering experience in which, every single day, you make a real difference in the life of a patient.

2. Mentorship
We have several current and retired doctors and nurses on the team.  They've seen it all, from medical/nursing school to life after retirement.

3. Good Karma
After all, you're working to help millions of rare disease patients in need.

So far, 100% of students who volunteered with our nonprofits were accepted into medical school, including such schools as Baylor College of Medicine, UT Southwestern, and University Texas El Paso.
